I have served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) for the English Departments at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) and Kennesaw State University (KSU). At FAU, where I currently teach, I have taught College Writing I and II. These classes have all taken place in person. At KSU, where I earned my master’s degree, I taught Composition I and II. The first-year composition (FYC) courses I taught at KSU varied in modality. I taught classes remote synchronously, as well as on a rotational model. On the rotational model, I was in person for each class, while different groups of students rotated between attending in person and online via Blackboard Collaborate. The opportunity to teach in three different modalities has allowed me to explore a variety of assignments and lessons.
